Ateneum Puppet Theatre (Teatr Lalki i Aktora Ateneum) in Katowice was established in 1945. Its repertoire is dedicated mainly to the young audience and covers both classic as well as modern fairy tales. Since 2002 Ateneum organizes International Festival of Puppet Theatres.
